He asked and I said YES!!!

This isn't exactly breaking news but it's exciting nonetheless! In October last year my lovely man took me to New York for my 30th birthday. Little did I know that he had been planning all along to ask me to marry him! And guess what? I said YES!!!

Now, for those of you who know me, you will know that David and I have been together for over 7 years. This coupled with the fact that I am 30 (booo) and that I find myself at hundreds of weddings with Flashpod, I was regularly asked the question 'Are you engaged?' 'When do you think he will ask you?' 'Why aren't you engaged?' All these questions were valid but equally awkward for me... why wasn't I engaged? Will he EVER ask?

Well all my questions were answered by one big question from David on the first night we were in the Big Apple. David popped the question on the Highline with the Empire State Building in the background. It was just as the sun was setting on anther crazy New York day. Dusk is my favourite time of the day, since it is the time when people's working day has finished but there is still time to look forward to plans for the evening ahead.

The trip itself was simply the best 10 days of my life and I'm still beaming about it all! I absolutely love being engaged and stare at my engagement ring every time I get a spare second. As for New York, if you haven't been,  then all I can say is that it is everything you have heard about it and more. It is the most amazing place I have ever visited and I would recommend anyone to go.

I am the luckiest girl in the world! Now all I need to do is start thinking about wedding ideas! Hmmm, I have heard that photobooths are amazing for weddings... I wonder where I could find a photobooth for the big day? 

What David used to propose...

I am not your typical girl in that I haven't had my big day planned out since I was 5 years old and I really don't know where to begin with planning, saving or any of this wedding malarky! The one good thing is that since I am at weddings practically every weekend with the booth, I can find inspiration from all the lovely brides we meet! There really is so much to do and I am continually amazed at some girls creativity in making their day so amazing! 

So if any of you out there fancy giving me ideas on where to start or if you have any wedding day planning advice then please let me know! Are you in the middle of planning your wedding? How are your plans coming along? All ideas and help are welcome!

Remember, we don't leave out any of the little features that complete the photobooth experience. We include absolutely everything in our packages, including unlimited prints, guest book and a huge selection of Props.

So when you book Flashpod you wont have to expect to be charged extra for a Prop Box or Guest Book. We think that by leaving these out, takes away from the fun! We wouldn't expect you to pay for extras when we don't believe them to be extras in the first place- they are part of the full Flashpod experience!

Flashpod V's Cancer: Race for Life Glasgow

Flashpod were invited to be part of UK's largest women only sponsored event. We were honoured to contribute to Race for Life Glasgow on the 3rd of June 2012.

We were ecstatic to provide the official photographs for the event and overwhelmed with the efforts of the 12,000 strong women that took part in the race that day. Glasgow certainly showed that they were ready to fight Cancer! Well done t each and every person that took part in the most amazing event!

The atmosphere was electric and it was truly inspirational and emotion day! Here are a selection of photos from the day...

Our lovely friends at The Scottish Wedding Directory are hosting an exciting evening event for brides, bridesmaids & friends. There'll be beauty treatments, dance lessons from Dance HQ and none other than little old us!

From House to Homes Fundraising Ceilidh

We're mega excited about this weekend because we're heading along to support a brilliant charity, From House to Homes - Scotland. The annual fundraising ceilidh at the Hilton Grosvenor in Glasgow is this Saturday 19th May and will help raise vital funds for the charity.

From House to Homes provides healthy homes, education and medical care to people in the poorest areas of highland Guatemala. In this area houses turn to foul rubble due to improper building materials, a lack of appropriate resources and unsustainable architecture.


We are delighted to be supporting a cause that reaches people in one of the poorest parts of the world. You can support them too by coming along to the dinner and ceilidh.
